He remained single until his death and had no descendants.

His sister Caroline Victoire Susanne GUENOUX born around 1804 probably in Paris and died on April 29, 1868 in Paris married on September 27, 1823 in Paris Achille Félicité PREVOST named baron under the reign of Charles X.
A rose was dedicated to her by Jean Desprez under the name ‘Baronne Prévost’.
