[From The World's New Roses (1926), p, 187:] Arpad Muhle, The Netherlands

[From Rosen-Zeitung, 1930, p. 101:] Arpad Mühle was born 1870 as son of Wilhelm Mühle, the founder of the soon world-known, at the time Hungarian Nursery. The son took over in 1898....on July 29 died Councillor Arpad Mühle in Temesvar in Banat, well-known in Europe and especially in Germany as botanist and flower breeder, the most significant rose breeder of Romania...

[From Les Amis des Roses, 4. trimester 1950, p. 117:] En 1850, M. Guillaume Mühle, et en 1870, M. Francis Niemetz ont créé à Temesvar leurs pépinières et établissements horticoles que leurs fils ont développés. Ils ont exporté dans les pays voisins de la Roumanie. M. Arpad Mühle possédait la plus grande roseraie de la Monarchie Austro-Hongroise. Les deux établissements ont eu plus de 50 ouvriers-jardiniers et ont donné à Temesvar-Timisoara des générations de jardiniers.
