I´ve seen this rose in Portland (Or)- very nice rose- and i want to buy "Gizmo" in europe- who can tell my a seller in europe?

If you check the "Buy From" tab, you will see two nurseries in France, one of them in Alsace.

True, the colour does not seem pink. Probably poor printer. The drawing from 1947 looks more like it.

yes the drawing from 1947 is much better- and the quality of this picture is so low, that it describes many roses

From the Comment posted with the illustration, it appears to picture the rose E.G. Hill, not Sterling.

Danke für das Kompliment - es ist unser eigener Garten und nicht groß- ca. 100 m2 an einem Reihenendhaus. Ich habe es bis jetzt auf 71 verschiedene Rosen gebracht- darunter viele Rosensorten aus der ehemaligen DDR. Ich denke, die "100" werde ich schaffen. Für die Beschriftung habe ich die Nomenklatur von Sangerhausen übernommen.
