This is a wonderfully fragrant rose. I had one year's ago and would be interested in getting another. Does anyone know where I can get another one.

I found mine at Target and I have seen them at Walmart also. I know some people do not like to buy from them but my rose was healthy and is beautiful and covered in buds now.

If you are in Canada and in the Vancouver area, I saw an Heirloom rose plant at (believe it or not) Home Depot at $3.97. I may get one myself since you have given it your approval.

I just bought a beautiful heirloom today at home depot for $7 in AZ. I love it! (jan 17, 2007) although this was my fave out of the 30 roses I planted this year, this is the only one that died before fall......gonna try it again though!

I found this rose at Walmart, bagged, for $5. I took a chance because the canes all looked healthy. It's just in the ground and already sprouting new growth.

Distant Drums is a wonderful shrub rose. It requires no special treatment. Feed and water it and it will reward you in spades.

What zone are you in? I live in zone 7, and I am worried about blackspot since it is so humid here during the summer.

I find Distant Drums to be a very easy-care rose. It grows in a rounded busy form, so give it plenty of room. My suggestions: Plant it in a prominent spot, plent of full sun. No shade ... or it won't bloom. It's beautiful, fragrand and floriferous! However, it has some of the worst thorns of any floribunda. Be careful Resist pruning. Pinch of spent roses just below bloom.

Make sure it's moist. Wrap it in newspaper or tuck it into a plastic bag and place it in the darkest coolest spot you can find until planting time. Check it from time to time to make sure it isn't drying out. Best of luck

I PURCHASED THIS ROSE LAST YEAR. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT THIS ROSE WAS ALOT SMALLER. 2' X 3'. THIS PICTURE LOOKS MUCH BIGGER. SO I HAVE TO PRUNE OR RELOCATE? HOW OLD IS THIS PLANT? THANKS

In warm zones The Fairy gets huge. In winter zones it stays smaller. So where you live would dictate if it needs to be moved, pruned etc.

Have you considered miniature roses for the front yard? Many varieties achieve 2-3' in height. They stay compact and most of them bloom constantly for the season.

I hope you can understand my letter. My english is not good. The minimum age of this tree is 8 years, but I´m not sure. When I plant this tree the trunk was 2cm thick, now it´s 8cm thick.
