The rose 'Tove Peddersen' has got the wrong name. There is only one d in the last name. The breeder is Thor Pedersen, Denmark. The rose is from 1973. It has got the name from the breeders grandchild. Best regards - Muddi

Thanks so much. Can you tell us when when this rose was bred? Modern Roses shows it as a dark red floribunda.

I am told, that this rose, 'Kalmar' was christened to celebrate 600 years after the Kalmar Union was signed (1397), but it seems as it came in 1999, - two years later. Can anyone explain this? Best regards Birgit Brandenborg ( Muddi)

I can't explain the two year discrepancy, Muddi, but maybe Poulsen Roser can. I suggest you contact them directly through their wonderful and detailed website, http://www.poulsenroser.com/
I checked the information on the website again for the date of introduction reported there - - 1999.
Good luck.
