Does anyone have experience wiht how tender and how disease resistant Pola Star is? I'm looking for a nice white tea rose.

One of the REFERENCES says that Polar Star is hardy to zone 4 (Botanica's Roses). I have updated the rose page.

This is my hardiest hybrid tea. Fairly disease resistant but will spot. Cleaning dead leaves from prior season from beneath plant will help.

I have a tree rose in my 7b (annapolis MD) garden that is all wrapped up still. is it safe to unwrap it yet? I'm afraid it will get too hot, although it's only been in the 50-60 here mostly. I cnna see the tip of one branch which has sprouts on it. Do I need t owait til lafter the last frost date?

anyone know how Louise Clements does in Zone 7? I've found many roses cant handle our winters here- too mild for too long, then bitter cold for just long enough to shock.
I love the color.

I grow it in zone 7 and it does just fine for me. I do grow it on it's own roots. But, I have never had any issues with it in the last 5 years based on weather. Except, there is a little fading of the blooms in the exetreme heat of some summers. But, I think most roses fade a little in the high 80s/ low 90s.

This stunning, gorgeous rose has bloomed profusely in my garden- zone 5 -, for the past 9 years. It does not require winter protection. However, I plant all my roses exceptionally deep here.

Please help me find this french perfume rose. I had a bush years ago but heve moved and can't find it anywhere. Please send me the address and telephone number of the nursery who carries this rose and will sell to homeowners. Most nurseries I've called only sell the vendors.

I saw French Perfume this last summer at Regan Nursery in Fremont, CA. I don't see it in their current bareroot list, but you could check with them about its availability. Their website is www.regannursery.com .
