I started buying rose bushes for my Granmother in Montana as a young boy. Her love for the flowers was contagious and our efforts to keep those bushes alive through the harsh Montana winters made me appreciate my move to the Seattle area where growing roses was much more rewarding! Over the years I've gradually refined my preferences and expanded my numbers and now grow mostly hybrid teas and English. I currently have about 160 bushes and I've reached a point where new additions require that some of my older and maybe less favorite roses go to some of the neighbors :-) I've been fortunate to learn a great deal from the site and I'm finally becoming a premium member. I look forward to getting to know some of this community and possibly being able to make a contribution or two myself – cheers!
