This rose isn't a Damascena rose, but a Rugosa.

I think this rose is "Rose de Meaux", a sport of R. centifolia.

Merci de me le signaler, ce rosier m'a été vendu par le rosiériste Hauser (Suisse)comme "pompon de bourgogne". Ce même rosiériste m'a vendu plusieurs variétés fausses.

You're right, the rose wasn't "Mrs Foley Hobbs"...but we're sure that wasn't an Alba! Or not?;)

P.S. Excuse me, if you don't comprend me well..but I'm not very experienced in English!

Possibly not Lorenzo. 'Chloris' is said to be fairly thornless, while 'Mrs. Foley Hobbs' is very prickly (see Billy Teabag's picture of 'Mrs. Foley Hobbs' stem and thorns).
I can't really see many thorns in Christina's picture.

Good luck with your collection of roses. If you start really looking at roses at 14, you are going to be a great rosarian in years to come.
