Limited experience here in southern Ohio (a few seasons) suggests these negatives: blossoms may not fully open, buds may turn brown (perhaps humid weather), and color quickly fades in sun. Absolutely no rebloom. And a bit tender.

A deep ruby red, somewhat flat, fully double petals interspersed with showy yellow stamens. A beautiful color for contrasts in arrangements. Stems flop a bit on the bush and best when disbudded.

Stunning in the landscape (ages to cream), with stiff stems. Quite vigorous and a reliable early bloomer. Large flowers. Unfortunately, as with many of the corals, the scent is not what I would call pleasing.

Don't understand the popularity of this cultivar. Semi-double blooms never have much form to begin with, aren't a vivid color, and quickly fade and grow blowsy. It is vigorous and floriferous--provides landscape color from afar.
