This bush got off to a very slow start for me in So. CA, it was low to the ground and bloom stems were thin and the flowers often rested in the soil. I almost shovel pruned it, but on another forum someone encouraged me to "give it a chance," so I let it go a couple of years. Now it's a bigger bush, maybe about 2.5', the flower stems are stronger, and I like the bush and the flowers as well. It is subject to mildew, though. We have that problem in May and June, later in the summer it stops.

For me in So. CA this is a terrific bush. May/June are terrible months for mildew, but WWII is mildew free. When it first blooms in the spring, it looks like a giant bouquet, so many blossoms. It blooms well all summer and tolerates some shade too. Love this bush.

I am very happy with this rose.
The color does not fade for me
but mine gets shade at the hottest part of the day.
Good repeat and no blackspot problems so far.
Mine does have a moderate/strong fragrance.

I like this rose bush too. It has some size, both width and height, but it blooms heavily all summer. The yellow blooms are very cheery.

Does anyone know how tall and wide this rose (Snowfire) gets? And if there are any disease problems?

Snowfire, depending on your zone..could reach 6-7 feet in height..here in zone 5 mine is about three feet, and she seems to be subject to mildew.

Mine got stressed during a hot dry windy spell and came down with mildew. I was watering them properly but the weather got the best of us! I misted the top and bottom of the leaves with Neem oil in the evening for around 4-7 treatments (days). Such magic... Neem oil is a viable treatment that is easy to apply. Hey... I love the excess thorns; they give this Rose some personality!

Have had this bush for many years, and it is a tough bush with lots of thorns. I don't really care for the flowers, they look a little phony to me. It's not a heavy bloomer but survives in a healthy manner in a hot, dusty part of the rose garden near a busy street.
