Bonjour, La 'Fimbriata' chez Loubert est presque entièrement blanche, ce n'est donc pas la 'Serratipatala' de Prévost qui est "rose foncé vif". Cette dernière parait bien plus proche de celle attribuée à Jacques (1827) qui est un chinensis presque sans aiguillons, ce qui n'est pas du tout le cas de la rose de Prévost. Je pense que la rose de Prévost n'existe plus hélas ! Cordialement, Daniel NB 'Serratipetala' de Prévost (avec un accent) n'est pas de 1818 mais de 1828

Agree. Loubert's 'Serratipetala' is the same which is in commerce also as 'Oeillet de Saint-Arquey' or 'Fimbriata', and not Prévosts's 'Serratipetala'. We have moved the nursery listings to "Serratipetala (in commerce)"

Seems that loubert got their budwood from l'hay as they are selling a prickly madame bérard that ressembles a lot to your pictures.
