Yes, I can give the provenance. We ordered our Madame Bérard way back from roses-guillot.com in France.

thank you very much. i received obviously this rose from guillot when i ordered 'mme jules gravereaux'. at least it resembles a lot to what john hook of frenchtearoses shows in the next picture. to my opinion, this item doesn't match what is described as 'mme bérard' in early literature: light green foliage instead of dark one for example.

I have added the foliage colour to the main page. OK? L'Hay clone: Provenance L'Hay-1; Guillot-2; Hook-3. (light green foliage)

caused by the mix up of guillot i'm unsure of what they gave me instead of mme jules gravereay. it should be one of the items in their catalogue - bouquet d'or or mme bérard. could you please check the pictures of my entry above to help me out.

This could be 'Félicité et Perpétue', another Sempervirens-hybrid raised by monsieur Jacques.

Thanks... The other rose is a seedling I found in our garden which caught my attention because of its greyish leaves. It turned out to become rampant with huge corymbs and waves of sweet ephimeral scent. The leaves have the greyish green tone of catmint.
