All 4 of my Icecap roses survived last winter (2019-20) with 1.5 feet snow cover only for protection. My garden is in Zone 3A and it hit 30 below many times.

This is the first of my 40+ rose varieties to bloom in early summer-mid-June in Zone 3A. It blooms first about knee-high, then again thigh-high, then another big flush chest-high, and when fully mature, head-high in August. It is the last of my roses to remain in bloom in late fall, with buds opening through October in Zone 3A. In Zone 3A, it freezes to the snow line over winter, and is fully root hardy. I cut it back in early spring. Its growth form is quite upright Of my roses, it is the least likely to attract rose sawflies. It is the most disease resistant of my roses. It does not sucker. When cut, the bloom clusters last 1 week to 10 days in the vase.
