Take 8-08-10 in South Central Indiana, zone 5b. Not a bad display for the heat of August!

Taken 9-26-09 in South Central Indiana, zone 5b. This is a fun, sturdy rose. I like its alternate name of Cheerio better, because it is such a cheery sight! Here it is being soaked by some heavy rain, but is still pretty.

Taken 5-26-10 in South Central Indiana, zone 5b. The rose was a dependable bloomer in spite of being given a less than desirable spot—a few hours of the hottest sun of the day. I had to prop it up with branches quite a bit as it got loaded with blooms.

Taken 9-11-09 in South Central Indiana, zone 5b. Same bush as previous bud, but different year, in the fall instead of spring, and with sun shining on it.

Taken 6-4-10 in South Central Indiana. Same bush as the other photos, but moved to a more prominent spot with some heliotrope providing the background purple color.

Taken 5-21-10 in South Central Indiana, zone 5b. The color and the fragrance are the specialties of this rose. Even when it isn't as blue as the catalogs show, it is still a very pretty and unusual color for a rose. I love it with blues and golden yellows. The blue in the background here is an iris, Caribbean Dream. This bud is in daylight out of direct sunlight. Not much time elapses between the bud stage and the wide-open stage.
