it was but the rust was so horrible, I moved it out of San Francisco.

Oh no! I have one coming and get some fog/mist where I am in the evenings (East Bay hills) so I’ll definitely watch out for that. Thank you for the heads-up.

Some roses also get rust from chronic growth output with limited to no water intake. I have seen high output roses get it while young, and then never again once they have massive root systems established. Its sometimes hard to tell which roses only suffer during its maturation arc vs roses that are universally susceptible..
