Just like Azay-le-Rideau, it’s also behaving like a shrub in the south of France in its 3rd year:
- Abundant first spring flush - Repeats well but with significantly less flowers in summer and autumn - shoots up to 3m in autumn, but won’t fall over
The bush is very much like Princesse Charlène de Monaco: tall, relatively narrow, well branched.
The disease resistance is exceptional - almost immune to black spot and powdery mildew, only slightly infected with rust when the disease pressure is high.

It’s behaving like a typical shrub in the south of France in its 3rd year:
- Abundant first spring flush - Repeats well but with significantly less flowers in summer and autumn - shoots (octopus canes) up to 3m and arch over in autumn
The disease resistance is quite impressive though.
