Hi,

North of Boston, coastal. Newish gardener. Been shade gardening for 10 years-- the "default weed method" (let the weeds-- mostly bishop's weed-- ugh-- grow until I have something good to plant, then clear out an area. Almost all the BW is gone now). Neighbors cut down the trees that shaded the yard for 60+ yearsw, now 80% sun, so built raised beds for veggies 2 years ago. Built a "berry cage." Read "Grow a little Fruit Tree" and Planted 6 fruit trees.

Never grew a rose, but now want to put a climber over the playhouse / garden shed.
Poss. Cecille Brunner climber? David Austin's Generous Gardner looks lovely but I don't want to spray. Will start volunteering in a rose garden next week.
