On November 12, 2008, Keep Riverside Clean & Beautiful (of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce) bestowed on the Riverside Rose Society the esteemed Lady Bird Johnson Award for the Society's "educational and beautification activities since 1958". It was the first time in the history of the Society that it had won this prestigious award.
