Introduced into the USA by Dingee and Conard in 1886.

The photo shows the white Tea-China 'Mme. Jean Sisley' (as marked in the catalogue) from Dubreuil 1885, not Bennett's pink HT 'Jean Sisley'.

Jean Sisley (hybrid tea, Bennett, 1879). and into
Mme. Jean Sisley (china, Dubreuil 1885)

Thank you for the reference, which we added. There are differing opinions on the question whether the 'President' by Paul is a new cultivar, or only a synonym for 'Adam'. The references on this subject are contradictory.
