Bred by Wilhelm Kordes III (1953 - 2016) (Germany, 1996).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1998.
Introduced in United States by Bear Creek Gardens, Inc. in 1998 as 'Harlequin'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Strong fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, long, pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched.  Leathery foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 2' to 5' (60 to 150cm).  Width: 42" to 4' (105 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Parentage: 'Prima Ballerina' x 'Peace'... The primary objective of this breeding was to produce a new rose variety having the fragrance and long pointed buds of the female parent combined with the higher petal count, large flowers, and vigorous growth of the male parent.
