Received this rose from Palantine Roses in spring 2017. Unfortunately had to put it in a large pot rather than planting in the ground. I used Organic Mechanics potting soil, Neptunes harvest fish and seaweed fertilizer, neem oil for aphids and black spot, earthworm compost. Grew nicely during 2017.
In early may 2018 this bush is covered in buds. Very nice shape to bush. Delicate but sturdy enough to hold up its stems. Had a very severe hail storm, but the bush looked fine afterwards. First open flower was may 16th. Blooms are gorgeous. The smell is amazing, very strong old fashioned rose perfume smell.

Update 2024- at a different house now, so it is a good thing it was in a pot and I could move it- This is still in a pot but it has rooted into the ground below. There is a power line running below where it is, so I couldn't actually plant it in the ground there. Anyway, It sent off shoots from its graft and I didn't realize it until the following year when I realized that only one branch had the correct blooms- the rest were all single white roses. I had to prune most of the bush back. So the last 2 years I have been babying it and making sure the plant I want is the one sending out shoots. This year I think it finally looks back to normal. with a decent amount of growth. Hopefully next spring will see a big bloom and I hope to root a few shoots and plant an own-root plant of this. We have warm enough winters here that I think own-root will be fine here.

I will say this rose is really different than the other once-bloomers I have grown. The blooms are really delicate looking and the petals seem thinner.
