'Cordelia' rose References
Website/Catalog (2018) Includes photo(s). (Ausbottle) Cordelia This is one of a group of English Roses that is closely related to the old Alba Roses, all of which have a pleasing delicacy and elegance. It bears charming, semi-double, silky petalled flowers that are a delightful shade of the purest rose pink, paling slightly with age. They are borne in large sprays - each bloom paling individually, to provide a pleasing, mixed effect in each cluster. The opening buds have attractively large, elongated sepals. If the flowers are not dead-headed there will be a crop of hips later in the season. [...] Named after the King’s daughter in Shakespeare’s King Lear.
