Book (1978) Page(s) 145. 'Morning Jewel' Climber Pink Summer + P2 H3 *** Worth growing for the sparkle of it in the summer. The foliage glistens, the warm pink of the semi-double flowers bursts out cheerfully. It is not quite so co-ordinated after its first flush, but produces flowers sporadically. One looks forward to it each year. A trouble free plant in my experience, and one of the best to fill the area it grows upon without leaving blank spaces. Do not expect it to cover a large space. Raised by Alec Cocker from 'New Dawn' x 'Red Dandy', and introduced in 1969.
