I agree with Steve. This rose has gorgeous form, smells great, and has been vigorous for me so far. I love the soft, pink color. It doesn't care much for rain, but fortunately that's seldom an issue here.

Saw some of these in the display garden of one of the major rose nurseries near here and they were some of the very best blooms in the place, out of dozens of varieties. They were just magnificently formed (exhibition form), a beautiful colour, excellent size and had a fantastic fragrance. It's an older variety, so may require a bit of extra care to keep it healthy, but the blooms will be well worth any extra effort, in my experience of them.

My grandmother grew 'Memorium' at Tyabb in Victoria, Australia in the 1970s and 1980s.According to 'Growing Roses - A Complete Guide to Growing & Showing Roses in Australia' (1983) by A. S. Thomas, the plant is pink, bred by Von Abrams (no year or place specified) and is suitable for decoration & exhibition, double, fragrant, v. bushy growth and tall.If I can obtain a photograph, I will send one. (This may take a month or so).Cheers,Heather Johnson,Upper Ferntree Gully, Victoria

Hello, Heather, and thank you for this information.
I have to think you are describing the same rose known as 'Memoriam' -- same breeder, same color, same time period. Take a look at these pictures: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/pl.php?n=4222&tab=10
Do you think it was sold in Oz with the alternative spelling?
