Origin:
Discovered by Charles Pierre Marie COCHET-COCHET (France, 1892).
Introduced in France by Charles Pierre Marie Cochet-Cochet in 1893 as 'Blanc Double de Coubert'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Blanc Double de Coubert'.
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa, Shrub.  
Bloom:
White or white blend.  Strong fragrance.  10 to 20 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Tall, arching, armed with thorns / prickles, suckers on its own roots.  Dark green foliage.  

Height: 4' to 7' (120 to 215cm).  Width: 4' to 7' (120 to 215cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b.  Hardy.  vigorous.  Blooms tend to ball in wet weather.  produces decorative hips.  shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Prune lightly until this rose gets established (about two years), then prune it back by about a third..  Remove unproductive wood every third year or so.
