I’ve seen two nurseries list this rose and “Mrs. Keays’ The Bishop” as the same rose. Are they the same?

Which is the other rose?

I thought I posted this under the other rose’s listing. Oops. Velours Episcopal and Mrs. Keay’s The Bishop — I’ve seen these two listed as the same rose.

From my quick research, I do believe that is the case. I picked up Velours from the CCRS plant auction a few years ago. We also grow the Centifolia The Bishop and that is totally different.

We added a note to 'Mrs Keays' The Bishop'.

Wayside has no roses listed this year. They do have a listing for "rose companions".

Website seems DOA now. In fact, my browser (Brave) warns me to not try to enter further.
I did try the site's message system when the url worked a few months ago, but there was never a response. The shop browser was also completely vacant at that time.

The proprietor told me via email that she was now focusing on selling locally and had not done much propagating last year. I thought she had a rather odd business model.

I'm sure I might be missing something, but how exactly do you order from Long Ago Roses? I saw their list of roses but no ordering info such as what's in stock, cost, shipping etc. I went on eBay and it just showed their picture and customer reviews but nothing else. Do they still sell roses?

Hi Yojimbo, I took down my website last year in order to be semi-retired. I still propagate just as many plants and sell them on ebay , usually starting in late April. This year I may start a little earlier due to early spring. Will wait at least until April. Thank you, Linda Loe
