Looking at the stems, foliage, and timing, I suspect the unknown portion of the parentage is not a typical floribunda. It seems to have a lot in common with other floribundas and shrubs of this Kordes era. Which may be why Magenta was a better plant than most of its time.

i know this post is old, but do you have any suspect(s) for that unknown parent or was it maybe never commercialised as to keep that plant in the company?

is this rose climbing? as there is conflicting information out there or does it just climb a little bit if given the oppurtunity, as it is a noisette halfblood just not as much as the mother.
