Orange blend Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Flo Nelson Bred by Mark Nelson (United States, 2001). Hybrid Tea. Orange and pink blend, yellow reverse. Strong tea fragrance. 38 petals. Average diameter 4". Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, flat, open, ruffled bloom form. Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Tall, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, upright, well-branched. Medium, dark green, dense foliage. USDA zone 7b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Hardy. Very vigorous. Heat tolerant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) A color sport of 'Calico' with soft apricot-orange flowers blended with pink and yellow.
