For those that love climbers you might look at "Social Climber". This rose put on a HUGE show here last season, non stop bloomer here in Zone 7 only in its second year. It is now on "own roots" for '07 from J&P and have ordered it again. New climbers that bloom like this are a pleasant surprise for some of us. It got 8' tall in second year and 4' wide and was just covered with pink rich blooms. Own root should help with folks up north

Does this rose have an old rose scent? I only want a lovely scented rose. How large are the blooms? roselover

It has a fruity scent with very large bloom

Absolutely love Social Climber! I have two that cover a large arch, and they are healthy and prolific. Really beautiful rose and likes the heat of southern California, zone 10b.
