Lovely little rose with bright foliage and a somewhat unique color. And a total magnet for blackspot. Unless you are living in Palm Springs, get ready to spray if you own this one....and even THEN.....

Most of the Goldilocks/Little Darling hybrids do, and then remain to do so until someone breeds it out. Same goes for minis from Little Darling. I can't grow any of them here. 100% defoliation.
Disco Dancer and Dicky, bred from Cathedral, only get it on the bottom layers. Nothing to complain about. But Quaker Star, bred from Dicky, defoliates easily, even though it has foliage like plastic.

I think Modern Roses typo'd the parentage. It is not listed like this elsewhere, and it is not the proprietary seedling used heavily by McGredy during that era.

I think so too. Modern Roses 10 is showing 'Little Darling' x ['Goldilocks' x 'Irish Mist'], as do Macoboy 1993 and Ruston 2004 whom I believe, normally take their parentages from Modern Roses.
In other references where a parentage is shown, 1972, 1975, 1980, 1992 and 1993, it has been listed as ['Little Darling' x 'Goldilocks'] x 'Irish Mist'.
