The blooms at the Rose Show were top class and several of our party were included on the judging panels. 'Tiki' a New Zealand Rose was judged Champion but we were somewhat crestfallen to see in our Cape Town papers next morning a photo with a caption underneath of 'Tickety' the champion.

'Kerryman'. Though this rose has been on the market longer than any on this list, the editor is very pleased to see there are reports from the five rosarians, because, as two comment, it has been rather over shadowed by its older and taller growing "sister" Tiki.
Book  (1975)  Page(s) 127.

Brian Attfield. 'Kind' roses.
'Tiki'. Cannot be left out of any list of favourites. Such a vigorous upright trouble free bush it is going to be grown in many gardens for a long time yet. The lovely soft tonings through from bud to full open bloom are a most restful and pleasing sight. Although a little rust sometimes appears this one seems to come up stronger after an encounter.
Book  (1974)

p12. David Ruston. Roses of Distinction. Of the pink floribundas, 'Tiki' is unique - no other rose except the hybrid tea 'Stella' has this soft pink centre that deepens to a subtle almost salmon-red at the edges of the petals - a delightful combination on a large flower of the highest exhibition form. This variety is shown often in exhibition classes at many rose shows.

p40. New Zealand Rose Conventions. 1963. Wellington. 16th National Rose Convention. Sam McGredy attended as guest speaker.... rose 'Tiki' named.

Mr. W. G. Treloar of Portland, Victoria.  The New Ones.
Tiki shows good promise as the large Hybrid Tea-type Floribunda blooms of pale to mid-pink are well formed in good clusters. Somewhat overlooked but this one is definitely worth a try.
