Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1905).
Introduced in France by Pernet-Ducher, Joseph in 1907 as 'Lyon Rose'.
Introduced in Australia by H. Kemp in 1909 as 'Lyon Rose'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Red, coral-red center, yellow highlights.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, globular, nodding or "weak neck" bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large buds.  
Habit:
Lax, spreading.  Reddish-purple foliage.  

Height: up to 2' (up to 60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
