* Height needs updating. In Tasmania, Australia, a grafted plant of mine has reached 2m tall and 4m wide unpruned in its 4th spring.
* Excellent seed parent. Flowers easy to prep. Seeds set well and germinate freely. Seeds are large and easy to handle. Not much good as a pollen parent.
* Cuttings strike easily and own-root growth is as good as grafted growth.
* Without doubt the best of all the modern roses I've kept if you can overlook the flowers tending to brown on the edge of their petals; an opportunity for breeders to fix.

This is today. All one plant. Looks to have wich. breeding and given the seed parent is a climber, you can clearly see where it gets its habit from. I am sure that if I were to prune it hard, deadhead it, and give it a summer trim, that I could bully it into a more compact shape, but prefer it au naturel.

Gets a tiny amount of mildew in Autumn here (Tasmania, Australia). Otherwise very healthy. Doesn't set hips (yet), and I've been unable to find any pollen.
EDIT 7th. Jan. 2013: Tonight I tried to collect pollen again and this time I got LOADS.
EDIT 9th. September, 2015. Sets a reasonable amount of OP hips once mature. Gets large.
