I have been growning Mme Calot in my SW London garden for several years and find that it performs well and once the stunning flowers are gone, remains an extremely attractive specimin with its strongly architectual leaves turning red gold at the edges until late October or November when I normally cut it down. I would highly recommend this paeonia.
