This should be called "Garden Piece", it is a huge plant, with large dark green leaves that have a plum cast to them in spring; the new stems are red-violet. It would look best in a large grass and shrub border; not as I have it, in a small perennial bed. It needs to be staked with individual staking rods, the peony grids are too small.
