Introduced in Germany by Giessler Päonien in circa 2018 as 'Prof. Hong Tao'.
Class:
Hybrid rockii, Hybrid suffruticosa, Tree peony.  
Bloom:
Dark red or maroon, black flares.  Gold stamens surround yellowish-green carpels.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Average diameter 7.5".  Large, single to semi-double, cupped, ruffled bloom form.  Early-to-early mid.  
Habit:
Spreading, tall, upright.  

Height: 5'11" to 6'7" (180 to 200cm).
