How does a single rose x single rose become a fully double rose?? Perhaps the single rose at Sangerhausen is the real one. I suggest this R. rugosa 'Acicularis' entry is removed.

The entry is supported by several references and will not be removed. What you are suggesting is that the double rose from L'haÿ is incorrect. For this you you can make a photo error ciomment on the photos.

The parentages stated cannot be correct: Kate Chillingworth = Lady Adrianna x seedling of Rotilia, whereby Lady Adrianna = Kate Chillingworth x Rosita. Results in a vicious circle. Member Cambridgelad must have misunderstood Colin Dickson. We will check with Mr. Dickson. Edit: Parentage for Lady Adrianna corrected
