Thank you! There are some discrepancies between the Excel file on Portland Gold Medal winners and our earlier listings (mainyl frm the World Federation results). For example: Meikanaro is listed on HMF as best Grandiflora in 2013. The Excel file has it as a Gold Medal winner in 2016. The file sometimes shows Gold medal winners as those of the year following the rose trial, but 3 years difference is too much.

Just wondering how tall Stiletto has gotten for those that are growing her. I've had her for 3 years now and she only gets like 20-24" tall. But loaded with blooms, so definitely a keeper, fragrant too.

My 3rd year Stiletto own-root gets up to about 4-5 foot tall in my garden. It grows upright but with a good width to it. Vigorous grower with perhaps 20-25 blooms per flush for me. I am in zone 5b - Chicago area. Comes through winter well with protection. Very good garden rose for color, but thus far the fragrance has been lacking and bloom size and form are lacking for exhibition.

My bush tends to produce what I would consider exhibition style blooms in each flush. Not all of them, mind you, but 5 or 6 per flush as a 3 year own root plant. Plus the color is excellent, extremely bright and saturated. It gets a LOT of sun during the season, maybe this helps?

I have a 3rd year, own root pot grown Stiletto that was transplanted into a 20 inch barrel this spring, after getting a hard prune. The bush settled in, (took about 4-6 weeks), then exploded with growth, leaves, canes, everything, then produced a splendid long lasting flush of gorgeous saturated blooms. One of the canes shot up 3.5 feet, with a huge cluster, I ended up trimming the cane after the flush to even out the bush, but I'm pretty sure this one would easily grow 4' all around if I let it. Maybe the own root ones have better growth? I know that often the grafted ones are quicker to get to a mature size as a general rule, but this is a relatively new plant on the market, so who knows? I'm in Zone 7A, Albuquerque NM, hot and dry, and this plant is in full sun.
