'Marvelle ®' rose Reviews & Comments

Since struggling in its first year due to late Spring frost damage, Rainbow Niagara has been an outstanding garden rose. Very vivid color in cooler weather, and it is producing blooms still in early November. Upright plant that for me has reached 5 feet tall. No disease either. The only thing lacking is more fragrance.
Still available at Palatine in what will be Palatine's last bare root rose season

1st year plant on multiflora from Palatine (Chicagoland zone 5b). Nice plant from Palatine planted in a prime spot in my new North garden. Leafed out well initially but then in mid-May two consecutive nights of frost stopped Rainbow Niagara in its tracks for about 8 weeks. I thought maybe the plant would die. But it held on and is now going gangbusters. Nice straight stems have emerged - I think the Alfalfa Tea Rx is what did the trick. Color is as advertised and more vivid now in cooler weather. At long last it's been growing and blooming well. It has a lot to live up to - its neighbors are Brigadoon and Royal Welcome!
Would I buy it again? Yes I would. Will it avoid the shovel in 2022? It may, I will give it every chance to strut it's stuff until the Spring bloom around Father's Day. But if that disappoints it will be shovel pruned and replaced with something superior.
