the only stage of bloom thats unattractive is during petal fall everything else is just magnificent. This is one of the most appropriately named roses for its form and enormous blooms. The bush is so neatly upright and the canes are strong. It's as stunning as ever even I this heat.

Im on my 3rd first Prize. I think they need warmer zones I am 7a/b and they tend to last a year or 2 at best in our out of ground. Will try heavier mulching on the one I got this year 2025. This one is for the early 2000s in the garden I planted at my parents. HUGE flawless blooms with variations of pink.
