Introduced in France by Maison Emmanuel Buatois in 1954 as 'Grand Gala'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1958 as 'Grand Gala'.

Florists Rose, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red, lighter reverse.  Mild fragrance.  45 to 60 petals.  Average diameter 4.75".  Very large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, leafy sepals, long sepals, rounded buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.
