This is my first year with this rose. I bought it as a band last year. It is still in a pot. I have 2. They both get some dappled shade, but are mainly in full sun.
I really like this rose. It is blooming constantly. I have it behind a garden pond and it looks really nice there.
The leaves look good. Blackspot pressure is high here and 2 other rosebushes have defoliated already, but Lyda looks good right now and is continuing to grow and put out new blooms.
I have not gotten a scent yet.
2021- one of the lyda's got RRD. Fortunately no other roses got that.
2024 update- it has been in a large terracotta pot on my brick patio near all my herb pots for 2 years? maybe 3? . It looks lovely and has many flushes. occasionally gets blackspot or rust on the leaves, but then it goes away. It wants to be healthy :) However, since it is next to the house it is getting reflected heat and when we are in a heat wave the flowers and leaves scorch. So, I think I will put it in a large whiskey barrel pot in a cooler area. Still not getting a scent.

I don't quite agree with the statement "occasional repeat". My Lyda Rose bushes flower from June to about September. Furthermore, I am in a zone equivalent to USDA 5b and have no problems growing this incredible rose, even during really cold winters. Update the HMF description?
