'AUStango' rose Reviews & Comments

Very few Austins have unfading coloured blooms and this is one of them. The colour is very modern, like a mix of minneola orange peel and cinnamon.
Very easy from cuttings and a grafted plant easily roots to become a own root plant if planted deeply. Not hardy though, dies back to the snowline or top of protection in Z6 winters.

While the colour is modern, it's also extremely unusual - outstanding in the best sense - in its deep burnt orange hue that is strong and yet not garish at all. The perfume matches it, as it is not only very powerful and deliciously fruity, but also unusual - not so much orange as banana!
The only drawback of this beautiful rose is that (mine at least) is a bit slow to rebloom. But what a showstopper when it's in full flower!
