May 18, 2010 I saw LOVESTRUCK in HalfMoonBay on the NorCAL Coast, where it gets foggy in this valley. It was lighter than photos shown, but very pretty: almost an ivory with peach inside & pink around the edges.

This rose does great in coastal Southern California and likes a little shade. No disease whatsoever here, where most everything gets powdery mildew. But not Lovestruck -- it stays as clean as Julia Child.

Doesn't seem to particularly like the heat. Since we started regularly topping 90 degrees a few weeks ago, blooms have been extremely small and actually have very little of the "hand-painted" look - they're more solidly red-pink with white edges and a paler reverse.
