Fojo's own work...Condesa de Benahavis (1949), which is very pleasing, indeed considered a perfect rose, with its attractive shade of salmon-pink, its perfume and its continuous flowering......Condesa de Benahavis, the distinguished lady dedicatees bearing these names and titles. All were his mentors and assisted in realising his gardening and floriculture projects. Hos most recent work was the garden of "Santa Marta" in Somió (Gíjon), owned by the last lady; excelling with, among other flowers, with the choicest varieties of roses.

...Fojo's own work is interesting. His first rose was created in 1932 and, how could it be otherwise, named La Florida. Of a clear salmon colour, it won a Diploma of Merit at Barcelona (Competition of Pedralbes).

Ferran Julia. HT. (P. Dot, 1940) (Synonym: Lady Trent). Rosieriste Gaston Leveque x Federico Casas.
Full flower of perfect shape and orange-lake-red color; magnificent very bright foliage, wide and sturdy. Solitary flowers, beautiful stiff stems producing long buds. Great vigor and disease resistance.

Mediterranea. HT. (P. Dot, 1943) Sport of Signora Piero Puricelli.
Rose of vigorous growth, provided with broad, bright green foliage. Flowers are crimson lake with yellow brush strokes when they open, after a few hours in the sun turning carmine pink and the yellow turning white. Large fragrant roses that attract attention because of the rarity of their color.
