Bred by William A. Warriner (United States, circa 1983).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (post 1970) in 1992 as 'Legend'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Red.  Moderate, fruity fragrance.  45 petals.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, reflexed bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns.  Large, dark green foliage.  

Height: 47" to 5' (120 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
