This rose started blooming this week. I have it planted between a vitex, and a mugo pine, and took the pictures facing southeast. The rose gets a fair amount of sun, that area faces true south and the other plants give it a reprieve from the dire drought and 100F weather we get.
In the pictures it looks very similar to Paul Noel, the blooms are the same size, but Ghislaine de Feurerwerk has a more orange cast to the buds and the first flush of color as they open. They also have slightly darker, rougher leaves, and slight prickles.
Their scent is a light to moderate rose-musk scent. The blooms fade quickly in hot weather. I also found the scent to fade quickly in the small bouquet I made of the two sets of blooms; Paul Noel's scent is still there this evening.
Paul Noel's color is a cooler looking soft coral-pink, the scent is of green apples, and the leaves are lighter green and shiny.

This rose was brought to me by my rose friend Hilde Gunn Deisz in Vanse in August last year. I was indeed very happy to receive this rose, specially because Ghislaine de Feligonde is one of my favourites. For a second year`s rose the repeat flowering ability is amazing in that she has been continuously in bloom this season, and still is, now in the beginning of October.Besides the disease resistance and rain tolerance also leave very little to be desired. The only thing I am now waiting for is for the plant to grow a bit taller as she is planted by an arche. I hope for the best.
