Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter outer petals. Strong fragrance. 28 to 56 petals. Average diameter 3". Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, quartered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid, rounded buds.
Habit:
Compact, few or no prickles/thorns. Light green foliage. 5 leaflets.
Height: 39" to 10' (100 to 305cm). Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Hardy. vigorous. does not do well in warmer climates. shade tolerant. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .

Notes:
Some difference of opinion about raiser and date. Possibly synonymous with 'Madame de Stella' commercialized by Guillot in 1863. The Swedish Rose Society recommends Louise Odier for northern Sweden. Probably dedicated to Claire Louise Odier (January 19, 1833 - 1874), daughter of Jacques Antoine ("James") Odier (1798-1864), grandson of Antoine Odier, French bankers
