'Brooks' Red' rose Reviews & Comments

This is a good rose in my zone 5b garden. Its' blooms in the fall are the best. They have nice color, good form, and excellent size without having to disbud like crazy to get them up to size. It's color to me isn't a true clear red as it is a red/pinky blend with a yellow/cream crescent at the base. It grows very vigorously with lots of basal breaks producing big thick canes that stand up to the weather and wind.

This first year bush wasn't overly floriferous, but it did give me so very pretty blooms in fall. I expect better things in its second year. I don't really think this is a red blend as for me and what I have seen of others it tends more pink than red. It doesn't last long once cut from the bush. It doesn't refrigerate well for me either so cut it and run for the exhibition group.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Tom. There is a lot of data entry to keep a database as complex as we have on HMF. We are in the process of updating nursery inventories, but clearly we have not gotten to all of them, yet.
I have added Cool Roses to the "Available At" tab.
Smiles,
Lyn

According to Warren, this is a sport of the Hybrid Tea Signature.
