Though 'Caroline Marniesse' is often cited as having resemblances to 'Félicité et Perpétue', I don't see any original source which states that F&P was indeed the parent of 'Caroline Marniesse'.

The attribution is probably due to the reference of 1853, which states that 'Caroline Marniesse' has all the characteristics of 'Félicité Perpétueé', except that it does not climb, but repeats. It could be therefore a sport. Also to be considered is a hypothesis by Udo Croce of Italy, who says that depending on what part of the cane you take eyes for multiplication, 'Cécile Brunner' results in either itself, or 'Spray Cécile Brunner' or 'Climbing Cécile Brunner'.
